Grant Rolston was born and raised on a commercial cattle ranch in the
interior of British Columbia, Canada. He was active in 4H both as a member
and a leader for several years.
After leaving home, Rolston worked with purebred cattle starting in the
late 70's and has shown cattle at several major livestock shows. Up until
the spring of 2002, Rolston maintained his own small herd of purebred
cattle.
The photography interest started as a hobby when Rolston was a teenager.
Formal training as a photographer was taken while with the Edmonton Police
Department. Rolston later attended the Browarny School of Livestock Photography
and accepted the opportunity to work with Browarny Photographics for two
years. The experiences gained has enabled Rolston to pursue livestock
photography independently.
